Shaila Propat is located at Farukpara on the Bandarban-Ruma road, 8 km from Bandarban town. The flow of cool water, created in a completely natural way, is rolling down the sloping stone plate. Which is a wonderful creation of natural beauty. The icy water of the fountain is always flowing here. The water of this fountain is very clear and freezing cold.

Although there are domestic and foreign tourists almost all year round, the number of tourists visiting here also increases with the increase in the flow of cliffs during the monsoon season. However, in the rainy season, the view of the waterfall is very beautiful, but it is difficult to get down to the waterfall. The gathering of tourists can be noticed even in winter time.

The people of Bam community live in the hills around this waterfall. A handicraft and cloth market has sprung up along the road and on the spot centered on the cliff.

Here you can find handmade woolen mufflers, blankets, sheets and handicrafts made by Bam women. There are about 20 such shops at the foot of the main road and at the foot of the falls. In almost all the shops the seller is a woman or a young woman. All the clothes are made of wool and cloth. Among the products, mufflers cost 150 to 200 rupees and sheets 500 taka.

The belief in local bombs; It originates from Boga Lake. Every day a large number of people come to see this waterfall. The falls are much lower than the main road. For this, stairs have been made. You have to go down about 60 steps to see the waterfall.

There is no entrance fee or ticket to see this waterfall on the side of the road.

The beauty of this waterfall, which flows endlessly with a huge amount of water, can be enjoyed till daylight.

How to get there

From different places in Dhaka. Buses of S.Alam, Saudia, Saint Martin Transport, Unique, Hanif, Shyamli, Dolphin etc. leave for Bandarban. 

From Bandarban you can go to the cliff by CNG / Jeep / Moon car. If you just go to see the cliffs, it will cost 500-800 taka including going and coming. In addition , if you go to Chimbuk or Nilgiri , you can stop the car on the side of the road and walk or see the cliffs. So there is no need to go here in a different way for the purpose of the cliff.

Bandarban has numerous resorts, hotels, motels and rest houses. Where you can spend the night from 600 to 3 thousand rupees.
